Support a Gift That Grows Communities: Mutuelle Solidarité (MuSo)
HCFespwa supports an integrated approach that responds to community needs and addresses priorities through designed solutions to avoid the traps of extreme poverty.“Mutuelle Solidarité’ (MuSo)” is a systemic approach that provides easy and quick access to credit for agriculture, livestock, small businesses, etc. It is community dwellers supporting each other through mutual funding at a low interest rate to build capacity, promoting and strengthening of mutual aid and solidarity in communities. MuSo increases their investment and entrepreneurial capacity to facilitate a transition to self-sufficiency.
Support a Community-Led Solution to Combat Hunger in Southern Haiti
Every year in Southern Haiti, tons of breadfruit (Lam Veritab) – a rich nutritious resource- goes to waste while vulnerable families face crippling food insecurity. But together we can change that.
HCFespwa is spearheading a community-driven project to transform breadfruit into farina, a shelf-stable, high nutrient food that can nourish those who needed most. This initiative will not only reduce waste but also empower communities by creating jobs and fostering resilience.
